The definition of psychology is the systematic study of human and animal behavior and their mental processes. It covers a broad spectrum of concepts that addresses perception, cognition, emotion and motivation of individuals and groups. Psychology covers a wide array of facets of human behavior including perception, thought, feeling, aspiration, temperament, and relationship. It also looks at the physiological basis of behavior and cognition, as well as psychological growth and development throughout the lifespan. Such knowledge is used in places like clinical, research, educational, and business organizations to address mental health issues, aid learning, and boost performance.
